Greening up Milkwood Road/Lowden Road Traffic Island

Work will commence on the Lowden Road Traffic Island Garden Thursday 29th October, lasting approx. 3 weeks for depaving, excavation, hard landscaping and planting trees.

29/30th Nov TBC - Autumn Planting Day - planting evergreen shrubs, bulsn and hardy perennials, spreading wood chip.

Late March 2016 - Spring Planting Day - Planting all remaining perennials

For Autumn and Spring Planting Days volunteers will be needed. - please show your support!!

The paving slabs will be removed and replaced with rain gardens in all three corners.

The project will be funded by London Wildlife Trust's Lost Effra project that works with local people to reduce the risk of flooding by creating green spaces that help to soak up water.
