Practical Action is an international development charity with a difference. Founded by the radical economist and philosopher Fritz Schumacher, author of Small is Beautiful, the charity knows that the simplest ideas can have the most profound, life-changing effect. This is why, for over 40 years, it has been working closely with some of the world’s poorest people, using appropriate technology to fight poverty and transform lives for the better.
