Ever used TJ Builders or Roy Keable?

Hi all,

I am considering having some plastering and decorating work done (and also some work on sash windows). Has anyone got experience of using TJ Builders or Roy Keable for painting/decorating?

Did you end up using Roy Keable or get any feed back ? Thinking of hiring him for a P&D job.

Not used TJ but heard good things about Bob A Job (listed in services). I've used this guy http://www.hernehill.org.uk/services/swavek-interior-renovations and he was great - lovely guy and v reasonable.

I used TJ builders to rebuild and retile a hearth that had collapsed in my Victorian house, they did a good professioanl job at a reasonable price

A note of warning on using TJ Builders/ Tony McGonigle - we had a terrible experience with them: they abandoned our bathroom job half finished having pestered us for money throughout the job (which hadn't been agreed in advance). Fortunately we had only paid about 70% of the cost when they walked out, but it has taken months to get other firms in to fix and redo their work.

They botched the tiling (many chips in the metro tiles - clearly cut using the wrong tools) and we had to get a plumber in to redo some of the piping as it was so bad (visible sink feeds at totally different levels...). They also failed to consult us before tiling the floor, though we had discussed talking it over before they did it - so tiles are now the wrong way around. And they set the shower so low it touched our heads! (I'm 5"8).
