An event has been organised on Thursday 25th July at the Effra Space (from 7pm) to promote the Brixton Liveable Neighbourhood Scheme.
Simon Phillips, Lambeth officer, will be presenting the Council transport improvement plans for the Railton Rd area.
Following a successful Summer season at Brockwell we are moving back indoors, starting Monday 29th July, to Alleyn’s Boys School just 10 minutes up the road from the Lido; drive, cycle or catch the number 37 bus, which stops outside the door. This is a great pool which we have used before so we are looking forward to a full Winter of aquatic mayhem with coach Carl Hill.

We have a great bunch of teachers currently teaching our 'Reps and Row' (Circuit/ HIIT).
We would love to get new, enthusiastic, fun, caring coaches on board.

It's with great sadness that Brockwell Lido Users have announced the sudden passing of CJ Faucher, BLU’s Chairperson, on Friday 21st June. CJ was a dear friend and a vital member of our Lido community. A fixture in the gym, CJ unified Lido users by constantly trying to improve Lido services and by pioneering innovative events.
Herne Hill Velodrome, one of the oldest cycling tracks in the world, will have multiple World and Olympic champion Sir Bradley Wiggins CBE participating in a Q&A at the inaugural Big Velofete fundraising event this Saturday, 15th June. The Big Velofete is a new fundraising event for the Velodrome, taking place across the 15th & 16th of June.
Herne Hill based garden designer, Alexandra Hollingsworth, has created a ‘Suburban Sanctuary’ garden at BBC Gardeners’ World Live, an event which attracts over 100,000 visitors to the NEC in Birmingham and finishes this Sunday. Alex’s garden will also be featured on Gardeners’ World on BBC2 this evening, after which it will be available on iPlayer.
