JOM is a community group, that organises free events for young people to perform. Since Covid we offer free online junior open mic sessions every month using Instagram LIVE. First-time performers are especially welcome. The format is non-competitive and aims to instill confidence by ensuring every performer feels as special as possible.

The Herne Hill Solidarity Fund which grew out of the Herne Hill Mutual Aid Group is a small money pot created for and by the community to support anyone in SE24 in financial difficulty.
The much loved Half Moon Montessori Nursery has been hit very hard by Coronavirus.
With huge uncertainty over income and numbers of children attending next year, combined with unexpected costs required to adapt the nursery to meet government guidelines, these are difficult times and the future is looking very unsure. Very sadly, staff cuts have already been made.
The Forum is pleased to share some news from Brixton and Norwood Foodbank, including a new intiative to encourage Foodbank users to book a 'call back' from a volunteer, to take the place of face-to-face chat which has been limited in the last few months.
Local charity, the Empathy Museum, are seeking nominations for a new project celebrating local heroes in the Brixton and Herne Hill area.

The show broadcasts once every 3 weeks and is designed as an event for young London performers – both new and seasoned.
