Parks & Gardens
A plea for help!
Friends I am asking for your help to restore a fabulous community asset - it is not in Lambeth nor in the South of the UK but in Yorkshire, up North where they are really finding it difficult to raise funds for community projects.
Hello Herne Hillians!
Many of you have been asking us about Brockwell Park and Field Day, namely:
- Is there any update on the planned public feedback sessions?
- What is going on with repair work in the park (see the photo above for evidence of broken gates) and the restoration of the grass?
On 22 October, the Blooming Lambeth Awards Ceremony will be shining a spotlight on the community gardening, growing and food activism taking place across Lambeth.
Now that autumn is in the air, how about a mushroom foray in Brockwell Park? On Sunday 14 October at 2pm, join Fabrice Boltho, Community Gardener at Myatts Fields Park Project Group, at the Clock Tower next to the cafe. He will take you for a leisurely walk through the fungi of the park. Do wear warm clothes and sensible shoes as the ground may be wet.
The Brockwell Swimmers club continues to grow with over a one hundred members.
