A small team of volunteers from Herne Hill Tree Watch, a local group working to help street trees flourish in the neighbourhood, will be coming to Ardbeg Road SE24 on the morning of Thursday March 19th to prune back unwanted growths on the London plane trees.

Is there a tree pit on your street looking empty and unloved this year? Would you like to pair it with a new friend, and keep it well-tended and watered? Herne Hill Forum have met with our local Tree Officer, who has a number of trees at his disposal to plant in the area this year.

Do you live on the Southwark side of Herne Hill? Are you interested in trees?

A small group of residents has recently started organising an informal network of volunteers - often known as Tree Wardens - to keep an eye on their street trees, help care for them, report maintenance issues, look out for dead or dying trees and identify places where new trees are needed.
