JOM is a community group, that organises free events for young people to perform. Since Covid we offer free online junior open mic sessions every month using Instagram LIVE. First-time performers are especially welcome. The format is non-competitive and aims to instill confidence by ensuring every performer feels as special as possible.
With much regret, Herne Hill Music Festival announces that its 2020 Festival is CANCELLED.
This is due to too much uncertainty related to COVID19.
The Festival notes on its website:
JOM Junior Open Mic, a local community music group, is on the lookout for anyone with experience in the back-end of online broadcasting to lend some time helping to improve the audio and visual quality of performances during JOM Junior Open Mic Live Online Sessions. The show broadcasts once every 3 weeks and is designed as an event for young London performers – both new and seasoned.
Join in and celebrate Windrush Day on Monday 22nd June.
Herne Hill's popular Junior Open Mic is going live online this Saturday at 7pm. Young artists from South London will showcase their talent using Instagram Live and anchored by presenter Alfie Nash.
The line-up includes The Honey Hahs – 4 sisters who already have a record contract, young folk artists, singer/songerwriters and instrumentalists – all performing from their own homes.
