Opposition is growing to Lambeth Council's plans to hand over the Carnegie and two other libraries to Greenwich Leisure Ltd (GLL) to operate as gyms.
A Big thank you to all the local business who made the Children's Halloween Party truly frightful - Blackbird Bakery, The Commercial, Fison Fitness, Fred Clumsy, The Flower Lady, Herne Hill Books, Myla and Davis, Pullens, Reliable Cars, Sweet Carolina, all the residents on Railton Road and especially the volunteers.
Local MP Helen Hayes will be chairing this exciting event to bring people from Dulwich and West Norwood together to show the Prime Minister that our area cares about Climate Change ahead of the UN Climate Summit in Paris in December.
On Monday 12th October, Lambeth council will vote as to whether the community hub Carnegie library should be turned into a private gym.
The leaves are starting to change, the days are sadly getting shorter and cooler, so yes, we must be nearing the time for the Herne Hill Halloween Party!
Mark the date in diary, get your costume and pumpkins ready and be in Station Square on Saturday 31st October from 5-7pm.
